Description: The Housing Credit Diploma recognizes management and
compliance professionals that have proven their dedication to their Housing
Credit education. Assisting new and seasoned Housing Credit professionals in
receiving the recognition they so desperately deserve, the Housing Credit
Diploma is easy to earn and a powerful statement of dedication. The
designation is simply earned by fully attending 3 different Housing Credit
College courses. Currently, the Housing Credit College offers 12 different
courses for the Housing Credit professional to choose from, so picking a
course is just a matter of determining the topics in which you want to
focus. It does not matter how long it takes you to complete all 3 courses or
in which order you take them. The goal is to encourage professionals to take
their education seriously and to not limit their focus to just one topic
area of this very complex affordable housing program. The Housing Credit
Diploma is monitored and guided by Housing Credit experts Elizabeth
Moreland, Sharon Ivey, Shelly Skirvin and Anita Racin, all of whom have
years of experience and expertise in this industry and have proven their
dedication to helping all ranks of professionals by conducting nationwide
compliance trainings, creating numerous unique and user-friendly products,
and providing important compliance services.
Who Applies:
Any Housing Credit
professional may earn the Housing Credit Diploma whether new to the industry
or a seasoned veteran.
Description: The National Compliance Professional was created to allow
industry professionals an opportunity to prove their dedication and
knowledge in the compliance aspects of the Housing Credit Program. The
designation includes a professional certification and a Membership Group.
However, the National Compliance Professional is not just another
designation or set of initials behind your name. The mission of the NCP
designation and the NCP Membership Group is to award its professionals in a
meaningful and incredibly affordable way, which means going beyond the
normal certificate, pin and set of initials and going this extra mile for
less than $50 annually. Members of the NCP Membership Group are continually
funneled information regarding the Housing Credit Program via Compliance
Update Alerts and 2 different (and free!) newsletters allowing them to stay
on top of the latest changes, news, and IRS, State and industry opinions
that are crucial to being a successful Housing Credit industry professional.
Members are also strongly encouraged to network with other industry
professionals, which is facilitated by the NCP Membership Group with
regularly hosted NCP Networking Dinners and annual NCP Conferences. Both the
designation and its over-500 strong Membership Group are guided by Housing
Credit experts Elizabeth Moreland, Sharon Ivey, Shelly Skirvin and Anita
Racin, all of whom have years of experience and expertise in this industry
and have proven their dedication to helping all ranks of Housing Credits
professionals by conducting nationwide compliance trainings, creating
numerous unique and user-friendly products, and providing important
compliance services.
Who Applies:
Any Housing Credit
professional may become a National Compliance Professional and join the NCP
Membership Group whether new to the industry or a seasoned veteran.
Beginners can join as NCP-Candidates and begin receiving the numerous
benefits of this designation and organization immediately as they earn their
credentials as a full-blown NCP. Seasoned veterans holding other Housing
Credit designations often have already met all of the necessary requirements
to be an NCP and may be immediately eligible for the highest-ranking
industry designation known as the National Compliance
Professional-Executive.
Description: The Site Compliance Specialist is the newest industry exam and
designation that was created specifically for those front-line Housing
Credit professionals who are responsible for day-to-day compliance
monitoring and site management. These dedicated professionals are so often
ignored and forced to extend their knowledge beyond the scope of their job
in order to earn most industry designations. With the creation of the Site
Compliance Specialist (SCS) designation, these hard working professionals
can prove their expertise in some of the most difficult facets of the
Housing Credit Program… determining applicant eligibility, maintaining
continuing compliance and resident relations, upholding all fair housing
principles, and applying the unique Program rules correctly including the
student, unit transfer, unit vacancy and available unit rules. The
designation is earned simply by passing the Site Compliance Exam, which is
an exam, comprised of 5 testable areas all focusing on the responsibilities
of site personnel and compliance staff. This designation is guided by
Housing Credit experts Elizabeth Moreland, Sharon Ivey, Shelly Skirvin and
Anita Racin, all of whom have years of experience and expertise in this
industry and have proven their dedication to helping all ranks of Housing
Credits professionals by conducting nationwide compliance trainings,
creating numerous unique and user-friendly products, and providing important
compliance services.
Who Applies:
Any Housing Credit
professional may become a Site Compliance Specialist whether new to the
industry or a seasoned veteran.
